I have come to the conclusion that going on one of those great luxury cruise ships is actually worth all the money as well as being a lot better than taking a plane there. But why is this?

There is no need to turn up at a stupidly early time so your luggage can be processed as on a cruise this is done a lot quicker.The great thing about going on a cruise ship is that there is no waiting around waiting either in the airport or on the plane to get to your destination as soon as you step onto the ship you are essentially at your hotel.

No more will you have to wait for the seatbelt signs to flicker off before food and drink is served as this is all avalible as soon as you get aboard. Free drinks are only available on planes if you are travelling long haul with one of the expensive airlines like BA or Virgin.

Guess what… LEGROOM! Welcome to a way of travelling without being squashed in for however many hours, go anywhere on the ship you can even take a jog on the jogging track.

If your in danger there are lifeboats to board and it saves jumping out of a plane and the likelihood of anyone being injured at all is extremely low. As well as this you don’t have to worry about terrorists at all! You don’t really need to worry about anything like that, well maybe pirates.

There is of course always the possibilty that a storm will occur and if that happens it won’t ruin the holiday just head downstairs for a nice dip in the pool or have a bite to eat!

After recently going on one of those fancy luxury cruises myself I have come to the conclusion that going on one is simply one of the best things you could possibly do with your money. Why? The main reason behind this is that a cruise like this one not only provides everything you would expect to find on a normal holiday but adds to that on a stupidly large scale which is brilliant.

It really is quite simple, where else are you going to find a place that has top notch luxury suites with a butler service as well as a huge swimming pool, spas and fitness areas and a casino in which to make back all the money you spent in buying the holiday. It is rather surprising how many different things you could do when you’re on the ship itself. I myself went to one of the educational talks on the destination that we were heading to next and it is fascinating to hear all about it before you actually get there so at least you feel slightly knowledgeable rather than turning up completely oblivious to the culture.

As well as doing all of the other activities the ship has to offer you can attend one of the fantastic dinner time shows along with an all you can eat buffet which is great for me as I am used to this from my trips to America, there was not one stage that I found the service to be distasteful.
There are no limits on where you can go on a luxury cruise as over the past 10-20 years destinations have grown immensely ranging from Europe to the Antarctic which is absolutely brilliant for people who either just want to look at these continents or actually go ashore and explore the small towns or the big cities that these cruise ships go to.

So save up those wages and go on a luxury cruise holiday like me and if you want advice on which one is the best to go on as there are literally hundreds all I can say is that Regent Cruises was simply fantastic an I would recommend to anyone thinking of going on a holiday like this.

Why, when playing a computer game I had the sudden urge to go out and book a luxury cruise.

There are a couple of computer games that I have played recently that have led me to seriously think about going on one of those brilliant luxury cruises I have heard so much about.

Cruise ship Tyccon is the first and most obvious on the list
You can blame the blog on this game as it is this one that gave me the idea to think about going on a luxury cruise. The whole point of this game is to run a cruise ship. This means you get to go anywhere on the ship from the swimming pool to the restaurant and casino. This is brilliant as in the ships featured in the game are all based on real ships which makes it perfect as you can see exactly what you can do on a ship without even having to visit a travel agent or website. You also get to see how hard it is to keep the ship running which although unnecessary for people on the actual holiday I thought it was very interesting to see myself.

Splinter Cell Double Agent is next on the list
This one is a bit random as the whole point of the mission is to plant a bomb in the ship but not to worry it is for the purpose of killing terrorists. When I was playing this game it is safe to say the graphics are so good I didn’t even need to go and look at a website to see what a luxury ship looked like which is one of the reason this game is on the list. As well as this there are parts of the mission based in the casino, bars and the giant swimming pool which really is brilliant as again this level was based on the structure of a real cruise ship.

Mario Kart Double Dash
Call me crazy but there is a level in which you have to drive around on a luxury ship and although I put it here simply because of this it only shows one thing and that is how big a ship is, big enough to drive a kart on? Well yea if there aren’t any people onboard and there certainly wasn’t in this game.

So there you have it and it gets even better as I am actually going to book a holiday with Regent Cruises today so all I can say is thank you gaming!
