Golf is a growing and ever expanding sport and mixed in with holidays has become a niche market for all those interested in the sport to partake in. However some of the best golf courses in the world can be difficult to find, so why not start in the place where these golf courses have become legendary, in South Africa.
- The Arabella Golf Course is rated as the number one golf course in the Western Cape. The Bot River Lagoon is one of the most beautiful places in South Africa, and the place in which this resort resides. This is one of the most difficult courses to master in South Africa, with water and sand traps everywhere. Many celebrities enjoy spending their time practicing and relaxing here, including the likes of Arnold Palmer.
- The priciest of all these golf courses is the Pearl Valley Course. Also in Cape Town this golf course was actually designed by the world famous Jack Nicklaus and he has made sure that all the best possible features factor in this course. This is by far one of the most underrated Golf courses in the world; it is also one of the most challenging if not the most in South Africa.
- The Gary Player Country Club is the final one on our top Golf course list for South Africa. Many professional and top golfers across the world, believe that this is probably the most challenging golf course in the world. This course has played host too many golf tournaments including the Nebank Million Dollar Golf Tournament, which made this golf course so widely known. Sun City is where we are off to next, and this is the number one grossing Golf Course in Africa.
Golf holidays are on the rise, along with Diving holidays, especially Red Sea diving holidays; these are a complete alternative to Golfing holidays!
How many articles have you seen that say what you should DO on holiday? Should i try going to some of these places? All of the items above can help you to enjoy your vacation, but what can you do to avoid the things that can make it worse? In Thailand laws are very strict, so here are six important do not’s for you to remember!
- OK anything religious that comes into your mind, please keep to yourself, the Thai people are very religious, Buddhism being the dominant religion. Do your best NOT to damage any of Buddha’s figures, you can look, but try to avoid touching. These are sacred objects and you will end up in a world of pain if you disgrace them!
- Although Bangkok is very seedy, the rest of Thailand is very reserved, so make sure you keep your clothes on and try not to be disrespectful. If you wait till night, it is more appropriate to remove a T-shirt, but only that at the most, and only a man.
- In Bangkok you can get away with a lot, in fact this is the most westernised city in Thailand, but even Bangkok can hold dangers! For all you younger generations, keep your wits about you, pickpockets operate here so don’t enter a seedy ladies bar without making sure your cash is secure. Don’t let yourself down by forgetting to bring protection, be safe, you never know what you will do after a bunch of drinks!
- DO NOT TAKE OR CARRY ANY DRUGS WITH YOU. Hard drugs could land you in some serious trouble, incomparable to anything else, there was one example where a man was caught with heroin and sentenced to death!
- DO your best not to over stay your welcome! If you are no longer under a Visa to stay in this country, then make sure you leave, there are some cases where you could be crammed in a prison cell with more than 50 other prisoners, so keep your timeline in mind!
- Don’t just fall for one girl straight away and give her your everything. I know that this is an awful thing to say, just make sure they can’t get hold of your bank details, you may not think it could happen, and then BAM it does!
Asia holidays are on the rise, Thailand holidays have really kicked off, but other famous ones are; Maldives holidays and Sri Lanka holidays!
I thought i would provide what the tour operators expect to be the top holidays of this year in the luxury department!
When looking at the list of holidays that New Yorkers believe could be the top holidays, they listed Sri Lanka as the top luxury holidays this year. This is an expensive country to get too; although once you’re there you won’t be spending much at all. The views that surround this luxurious and extremely relaxing location are perfect for anyone that just wants to “Chill”.
The Maldives is up next. All of the hotels are built on small islands that usually hover above the sea in some parts as well. The Spa treatments are basically the only form of recreational activity here. Diving is the actual “recreational” based activity that you can take part in, with some amazing different species of animals for you to see!
Next up and of course is the island of St Lucia. All those that want to holiday like a celebrity then the Caribbean has got to be your choice. You don’t have to be a millionaire to come here, there are hotels suited to everyone’s monetary needs. The best qualities about this place are the sea, sun and sand, great for you and your kids!
Next on the top luxury list is Sharm El Sheikh. This may be the favourite of some and the bane of others, but to those that don’t like it, I say look at the figures. Luxury is something that is not over looked in Egypt, they do their best to make everything perfect. The prices aren’t to bad either, this is probably one of the cheapest places to go, but the accommodation is still very much up to scratch. If you are a diving fanatic, then the Red Sea is a great place to visit, with Coral reefs, wildlife and sharks!
There are some others that are close to the top like Cuba holidays, any Caribbean holidays for that matter, and you never know you might find yourself indulging in Weddings abroad, suggest it to the Boyfriend, and see what happens!
Just like in 2008, Vancouver proves the be the best city in the Western Hemisphere, as confirmed by rece Mercer’s study of quality of living in various cities.Just like the previous year, the global leader for trusted Human Resources and related financial advice rated 215 various cities. The results help companies and governments making decisions about assigning their employees on international assignments.
The 215 cities are compared to the base city – New York (Big Apple always…) with the index score 100 in 37 various criteria such as social and political indicators, standard of transportation or security. This year’s winner Vienna ended with 108.6 points, which was just about enough to dethrone last year’s Victor Curych (108 points). The top ten is as usual dominated by European cities while only 3 non-European managed to get among the first tenth – Vancouver (4th, 107.4 points), Auckland (again 4th, 107.4 points) and Sydney (10th, 106.3 points). It should be noted that the differences between particular scores especially within the top 50 were not outstanding – 47 cities scored between the winner Vienna (108.6 points) and New York (100 points).Just like the previous year, the worst rated city is Baghdad with 14.4 points, which is almost 15 points less than the second worst rated city of Bangui (central Africa).
Canadian cities absolutely excelled in the top 50 – 4th Vancouver, 15th Toronto, 16th Ottawa, 22nd Montreal and 26th Calgary all ended before US cities (29th Honolulu, 30th San Francisco, 35th Boston, 42th Portland, both Washington DC and Chicago 44th.)
Of course Vancouver has always appeared to me as the best city on Earth, having lived there for ages.Ending within the top 5 best cities in the world only confirms what I already thought. If you are thinking of relocating and Vancouver is where your heard wants to go, why don’t you let this guide for buying real estate in Vancouver BC help you.
So recapitulation in few words – Thinking of moving? Why not try Vancouver. Why not to move there for retirement, for leisure, or even for career?
